New Delhi: With the objective of connecting children and young people with Indian culture, the Sanskrit language, and the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Padhe-Badhe Trust organized an All-India Online Shloka Recitation Competition on Sunday, based on Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, titled “Bhakti Yoga.”
Children and young participants from different parts of the country took part in the online competition with great enthusiasm. Participants showcased their talent through accurate Sanskrit pronunciation, confidence, and expressive recitation of the shlokas.
Participants from Lucknow, Gujarat, Surat, Pune, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Sonipat and Ayodhya, among other places, joined the competition online. Through their recitations, they demonstrated their interest in and connection with India’s rich spiritual and cultural traditions.
According to the organizers, the objective of the competition was not limited to shloka recitation. It also aimed to create awareness among children and youth about Indian culture, the Sanskrit language, moral values and the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. The initiative encouraged participants to understand the values contained in the Gita and apply them in their daily lives.
The online event witnessed enthusiastic and confident performances by the participants. Their accurate pronunciation and heartfelt presentation made the competition particularly meaningful. Parents and teachers also encouraged children to participate in such educational and culturally enriching activities.
Participants who performed exceptionally well will be presented with gifts and certificates of appreciation by Padhe-Badhe Trust. In addition, all participants will receive certificates of appreciation in recognition of their enthusiasm, efforts and participation.
The Trust expressed its gratitude to all the participating children and youth, their parents, teachers and everyone who supported the organization of the event. The Trust stated that such creative and meaningful initiatives play an important role in developing knowledge, values, discipline and confidence among children while strengthening their connection with India’s cultural roots.
Padhe-Badhe Trust further stated that it will continue to organize various programmes related to education, culture, Indian traditions and social development in the future. The initiatives aim to introduce the younger generation to India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage and foster a positive outlook towards Indian values.
