Vivek Sharma, New Delhi: Korean Cultural Centre India have organized and presented the opening event of Korean Food Festa consisting of various contents and events like All India Korean cooking contest, Korean traditional wedding ceremony on Wednesday 26th October 2022, 06:00 PM at Eros hotel located New Delhi after their successful and the biggest Korean Festa, Rang De Korea. 

Korean delicacies will be served by exclusive Korean Chef Kang Dae Han and Chef Lee Ju Been dispatched by Korean Food Promotion Institute. For those with tempting taste buds looking to cherish the taste of Korea, the food festa is open through Ala Carte and dinner buffet menu at the hotel during the festa period from 26th October to 9th November, 2022.

The opening event was presented in the form of Korean traditional wedding banquet. Korean food were served to the guest, around 300 people after Korean traditional wedding ceremony with K-performances, Samulnori(Korean traditional percussion musical band), K-Pop, and Taekwondo. All the performances tried fusion concept symbolizing Korea and India unification through wedding ceremony. Samulnori performance was presented in harmony of Sitar and Korean traditional musical instruments which are quite similar with Indian instruments by Korean Cultural Centre India`s Samulnori performance team. K-Pop performance wearing Hanbok, Korean traditional cloth, and Taekwondo performance which harmonizing martial arts, sports, pop music & dance by KCCI Taekwondo Demonstration team. 

The evening also saw special mega size of demonstration on Korean cuisine ‘Bibimbap’ which was performed by the Korean Chefs. Bibimbap is one of the most liked Korean food which is low in calorie and is a rich diet containing a lot vegetables. Bibimbap has been used as symbol of harmony, unification of various people and culture in Korea. 300 people were served each portion of this special Korean cuisine after big size of bibimbap making performance.

Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India said wedding ceremony and event can be one of essential and universal culture of all countries. I would like to point out hospitality and generosity as main spirit which shared in Korean and Indian weddings. Through this generous wedding ceremony and event, we, Korean Cultural Centre India want to invite all friends and neighbors and present our Korean food and culture.
