New Delhi, May 4, 2024 — Guru Ram Dass College of Education, in collaboration with Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, hosted their 14th National Conference in a hybrid format, attracting scholars and educators across various disciplines. Themed "Bridging the Divide: Indian Knowledge Systems and Education in Contemporary Times," the conference sought to integrate India's rich educational heritage with contemporary teaching methods.

The event showcased the potential for Indian knowledge systems to enhance modern education. Over 55 scholarly papers were submitted, with 32 selected for their innovative ideas on integrating these traditional systems into current curricula.

Dr. Chand Kiran Saluja, Director of Academics at the Sanskrit Promotion Foundation, served as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker. His presentation on the practical applications of Indian knowledge systems in modern education set the stage for a day of thoughtful discussions.

The conference concluded with a valedictory address by Dr. Sukhram of Delhi University's Shivaji College, who summarized the productive dialogues and emphasized the practical steps forward discussed during the event.

Participants included educators from diverse fields such as business, management, and law, reflecting the broad appeal and relevance of the conference theme. The sessions also featured international perspectives, the event also saw international participation, with a noteworthy paper from South Korea's Vision College of Jeonju.

Two parallel technical sessions were organized, chaired by Dr. Alka Muddgal of Amity University and Dr. Arti Bhatnagar of Guru Ram Dass College of Education. These sessions delved into sub-themes like leveraging technology in education, teacher training, and promoting cultural understanding and diversity.

The success of the conference was further supported by Dr. Neeraj Priya, Principal of Guru Ram Dass College of Education, and the enthusiastic efforts of the college faculty and students. The leadership of Dr. Atul Kothari, National Secretary of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, along with Mrs. Mamta Nagpal and Dr. Rajesh P. Singh, both active in the organization and highly regarded in their fields, was instrumental in exceeding the goals set for the conference.
