At least 119 dengue cases have been reported in the city this season, with 91 of them recorded in July alone, according to a municipal corporation report released on Monday. While last the count was considerably low. Only six cases were reported in June and July saw 36 cases.

With the rising number of cases, experts foresee another outbreak like situation this year. The Delhi government said it has allowed all hospitals and nursing homes to increase bed strength by 10% to 20% for three months.

Hospitals and nursing homes are told to use these beds only for fever and dengue patients.
