"It's the same substance that was found in the first test. It was unlikely that it would go out of the system," a Wrestling Federation of Indian source said referring to banned anabolic steroid methandienone.
In yet another setback to underfire Narsingh Yadav, the wrestler's second sample, taken on July 5, for dope test too came out positive, reports claimed on Wednesday (July 27).
The wrestler, who was picked ahead of the double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar to represent India at the Rio Games, has cried foul and said he was a victim of conspiracy.
Even the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) too came out in support of the 26-year-old wrestler and claimed he's framed. (Narsingh Yadav is innocent, he's a victim of conspiracy: WFI president)
A teen, who could have possibly 'spiked' Yadav's food supplements during his time at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Sonepat centre, has been identified, WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was quoted by reports as saying.
The final report of the panel probing wrestler Narsingh Yadav's doping controversy will come in the next two days till when he will remain under provisional suspension, the government told Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
